bulletin by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) has prompted a
number of lenders to re-examine their relationships with settlement agents. In
response, the American Land Title Association (ALTA) has developed best
practices to protect consumers, promote quality service, provide for ongoing
employee training, and meet legal and market requirements. These practices are
voluntary and designed to help members illustrate to consumers and clients the
industry’s professionalism. ALTA and OLTA
will offer a co-sponsored Road Show to discuss these best practices in-depth.

Continuing Education OLTA has applied for 3.0 CIE from the Ohio Department of Insurance. Additionally, OLTA has applied for 3.0 hours of CLE Credit from the Supreme Court of Ohio.

- Complete & sign the request for CIE credits
- Turn in the request for CIE credits at the end of the session
Partial CIE credit can be given to attendees of this seminar. The credit must be rounded down to half hour increments. OLTA will only accept National Producer Numbers (NPN) for Continuing Insurance Education credit. We cannot accept social security numbers or license numbers. You may also find your NPN number through http://www.insurance.ohio.gov/Pages/default.aspx under Quick Links/Agent/Agency Locator on the left side of the page.
Requirements for Continuing Legal Education credit have not changed. You are still required to provide your Attorney Registration Number to receive credit.
