We’ll discuss real world risk management, coordinating a breach response team within your agency, how to properly identify and avoid a wire fraud scheme (social engineering fraud scheme) and what insurance policies every agency should consider in the world of protecting money and information.

This presentation will focus on the fiduciary and ethical duties of the Ohio lawyer and Ohio title agent regarding the consequences and comparisons of the Interest on Lawyers Trust Accounts (IOLTA) and Interest on Trust Accounts (IOTA) accounts.

Electronic Notarization Trends and Developments Across the Country

Ohio recently changed its electronic notarization statute in the Ohio Revised Code. Learn more about the practical implications of that change, developments in electronic notarization across the country in 2017 and an outlook for 2018.

• We have applied for 6.0 General CLE credit hours and 1.0 of professionalism from the Supreme Court of Ohio.
• We have applied for 7.0 CLE credit hours from the Kentucky Bar Association.
• We have applied for 6.0 Title CIE and 1.0 Ethics CIE credit hour. The course level is intermediate.
• The experience and qualifications of the instructors available upon request.

To receive continuing insurance education (CIE) credit, you must do the following (an exam is not required to receive credit):
1. Sign the attendance roster before the start of the program.

2. Attend the session in its entirety.
3. Complete & sign the request for CIE credits.

4. Turn in the request for CIE credits at the end of the program.

Partial CIE credit can be given to attendees of this seminar. The credit must be rounded down to half hour increments.

OLTA will only accept National Producer Numbers (NPN) for Continuing Insurance Education credit. We cannot accept social security numbers or license numbers. To find your NPN, visit

Requirements for Continuing Legal Education credit have not changed. You are still required to provide your Attorney Registration Number to receive credit.

The Ohio Land Title Association has reserved a block of rooms at The Hilton Columbus at Easton.  Please contact the hotel directly to make your reservation at 614-414-5000.To receive the convention rate of $189 (single) and $199 (double) + tax per night, you must reference the Ohio Land Title Association 2017 Annual Convention when you make the reservation.  The hotel will honor the rate until September 11, 2017. OLTA guests can enjoy free self-parking.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations received by noon,  Wednesday, September 13, 2017 will be refunded, less a $30.00 fee. After that date, those not attending will receive any seminar materials in full consideration of fees paid. Substitutions of participants are permitted. Registrations will be limited to available space.
